Program description

DocOS Staff Alerts is an SMS program operated by DocOS. DocOS is operated by Javier Caballero. DocOS is practice-operations software used by medical practices, and this program texts staff members of those practices about work assigned to them in DocOS:

  • Tasks assigned to you that are past due.
  • Deadlines coming up on work assigned to you, such as a prior authorization appeal or a records request.
  • Items escalated to you by someone in your practice.
  • A short morning summary of what is blocked or aging.

This program sends operational alerts only. It never sends marketing or promotional messages. Messages never contain patient names, dates of birth, record numbers, insurance IDs, or clinical details. They point you to DocOS, where the details are.

How to enroll

You enroll by entering your name, mobile number, and email on the DocOS Staff Alerts enrollment page and checking the consent box yourself. The box is never checked for you. DocOS then sends one text confirming your enrollment.

Consent is not a condition of purchase or of using DocOS. You can use every part of DocOS without enrolling in text alerts.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. How many messages you receive depends on how much work is assigned to you, how many of your items fall past due or near a deadline, and how your practice has set up alerts in DocOS. On a quiet day you may receive none.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. DocOS does not charge you for these messages, but your wireless carrier may charge for messages you send and receive, depending on your plan. Contact your carrier for plan details.

How to cancel

Text STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply STOP to cancel. You can also use STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. After you opt out, you'll receive one final message confirming it, and no further messages from DocOS Staff Alerts.

If you want to rejoin, reply START or enroll again on the enrollment page. You can also ask us to unsubscribe you by emailing support@docos.org.

How to get help

Reply HELP for help. You'll receive a message with our contact details. You can also reach us directly at support@docos.org or (207) 415-7504.

Supported carriers

DocOS Staff Alerts is supported on major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Support on smaller and regional carriers may vary, and carrier support can change without notice.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Eligibility

To enroll, you must:

  • Be 18 or older.
  • Be a staff member or authorized user at a medical practice that uses DocOS.
  • Enroll a U.S. mobile number that you own or are authorized to use, and be able to receive text messages at it.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your mobile number current. If you change or give up your number, reply STOP from it first, or email us, so alerts don't reach the next owner.
  • Never reply to a DocOS text with patient or medical information. This program must not be used to send medical information.
  • Treat alerts as a convenience. They don't replace checking DocOS, and they are not for emergencies or clinical decisions.

Delivery and program changes

We send messages promptly, but delivery depends on carriers and coverage we don't control, so messages may be delayed or not delivered. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We may change or end DocOS Staff Alerts. If we end it, we'll tell enrolled users by text.

Privacy

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects the program, we'll tell enrolled users by text before it takes effect. Replying STOP is always available if you'd rather not continue.
